ear problem

hi all ,my bichon about 6 weeks ago had really waxy smelly ears ,cut a long story took to vets they sadated her and did ear wash ,give painkillers and toold to back 2 days later , went back ears just as bad ,they said keep up with washing and drops bring back 2 days later ,so did that they said same and that just over producing, anyway cost me 120 pound,last week it got really bad again,smelly and shaking head .the more i kept them clean the more wax could see,
took her back , kept her in again for ear wash ,picked her up at 330 ,needed to put drops in about 800 it was and they was just as bad as they was before went in ,took back today now been given antibiotics ,and to take back next week ,told them not happy paying 90 pound again when dont seem any dif ,and every time i take back for check up cost me 20 pound , but they say try antibiotiics now , anyway some one told me about ths powder ,not sure what to do ,sorry about it  been drawn out ,
should i try powder cause cant keep getting her sadated ever 6 weeks paying 90 pound
any thoughts thanks x x

I can't believe no one replied to this! Hope you have now found your answer.  But just in case, clean the ears with ear cleaner and dry with kitchen roll as much as possible.  Put a pinch of powder in as far down the canal as you can everyday for a week, then 2/3 times for a couple of weeks, down to once a week. I use it once a month now as a preventative and its amazing.  I actually use nocank, but it is very similar.

Hi - just read about the problem you had with your dogs ear last year.  My dogs symptoms are exactly the same and I have had similar experiences with the vets.  We seemed to be going round in circles but not achieving a cure for my dog and like you cannot afford to keep spending money out when his ear is not improving.   Did your dogs ear get sorted in the end ?  Thanks and if so, what was the cure ?
